Maintenance Engineer – CMP Field Service

About the role

Join EBARA Precision Machinery Europe as a Maintenance Engineer focused on Chemical Mechanical Planarisation (CMP) systems. You will work directly on advanced semiconductor equipment in a cleanroom environment, providing on‑site service to keep our customers' production lines running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installations, upgrades, repairs and preventive maintenance on CMP capital equipment at customer sites.
• Analyse, diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, electrical and PLC software issues.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics and P&ID diagrams to resolve complex system problems.
• Manage spare‑part inventory for assigned equipment bases.
• Report system performance and activity to customers and internal management on a weekly basis.

Required profile

• Higher Certificate/Apprenticeship (NFQ level 6) with at least 3 years HVM experience, or Bachelor’s degree (NFQ level 7) with at least 1 year experience.
• Proven ability to work day and night shifts in a cleanroom setting.
• Strong communication skills for reporting to customers and internal teams.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with CMP semiconductor equipment.
• Mechanical, electrical and PLC software troubleshooting.
• Interpretation of technical drawings, electrical schematics and P&ID diagrams.
• Spare‑part management and inventory control.
