Maintenance Engineer – Food Processing Plant

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join a modern, automated food processing facility in West Cork. You will support the development and execution of preventative maintenance routines and help drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures for production equipment.
• Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with the maintenance team.
• Apply Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards and ensure proactive completion of tasks.
• Maintain and troubleshoot controls, sensors, pneumatics, and electrical systems in a fast‑paced environment.
• Diagnose and resolve common engineering problems related to production machinery.
• Work with the team to implement repairs and improvements to process‑related issues.

Required profile

• Relevant 3rd level engineering or trades qualification.
• Experience maintaining manufacturing systems/equipment in a processing plant.
• Knowledge and understanding of electrical and mechanical automation.
