Maintenance Technician

About the role

PCI is seeking a permanent Maintenance Technician to join its Dundalk site. The role works a 12‑hour day shift (7 am‑7 pm) from Monday to Wednesday, supporting biopharma manufacturing equipment and ensuring continuous, compliant production.

Key responsibilities

• Perform machine change‑overs, address stoppages and breakdowns promptly to meet production targets.
• Execute planned routine maintenance and maintain schedules to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently under GMP standards.
• Conduct expert‑level fault finding on electrical and mechanical systems, including PLC programming.
• Design, develop and implement equipment improvements, creating MOC documentation and managing changes through the QMS.
• Lead A3 problem‑solving activities, root‑cause analysis and equipment redesign projects.
• Maintain clean, tidy and secure maintenance areas and ensure all safety practices are followed.
• Complete all required documentation such as tooling logs, PPM sheets and online work records.

Required profile

• Proven experience in maintenance of manufacturing equipment within a GMP environment.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.
• Competence in PLC programming and participation in technical improvement projects.
• Familiarity with MOC procedures, design of experiments and A3 problem‑solving methodology.
• Commitment to safety, cleanliness and accurate record‑keeping.
