Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures safe, efficient, and continuous operation of production lines and plant equipment in a manufacturing environment. The role focuses on rapid response to equipment breakdowns, preventative maintenance, and monitoring of utilities and building systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide rapid response to production equipment breakdowns and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system faults.
• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) activities according to maintenance plans.
• Manage stock of replacement and spare parts and complete accurate maintenance documentation.
• Identify recurring issues, recommend improvements, and escalate critical problems when required.
• Maintain and monitor HVAC, boilers, heating, air compressors, chillers, cooling systems, Building Management Systems (BMS), electrical distribution, and automation equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, regulatory and statutory requirements, and record all maintenance activity during the shift.

Required profile

• Relevant technical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronic disciplines.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment with strong fault‑finding skills.
• Ability to work independently during evening shift operations.
• Good communication and reporting abilities.
