Manufacturing Engineering Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead the engineering function within a high‑volume, safety‑critical electronics manufacturer. You will be responsible for industrialising new products, driving automation initiatives, and supporting production engineering to sustain business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) from concept through pilot builds and ramp‑up, ensuring Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) best practices.
• Develop scalable manufacturing processes, conduct PFMEA, process validation, and create control plans and structured handovers.
• Define and execute the site automation strategy, identifying opportunities for test, material handling, and production automation.
• Support senior engineering resolution of complex manufacturing issues, drive structured problem‑solving, and improve OEE and line performance.
• Assist with facility expansion, layout optimisation, and infrastructure planning to enable capacity growth.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing Manufacturing Engineering team while fostering cross‑functional collaboration.

Required profile

• Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electronic or Industrial Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in high‑volume electronics manufacturing.
• Proven engineering leadership or team‑management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver NPI projects on cost, yield, quality and schedule targets.
