Manufacturing Engineering Manager

About the role

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will lead the engineering function for new product introduction, automation, facilities and production support at a high‑volume electronics manufacturer.

Key responsibilities

• Lead NPI from early design through pilot builds to full production, ensuring DFM/DFT, PFMEA, process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) and structured handover.
• Develop and execute a multi‑year automation roadmap, identifying manufacturing, test and material‑handling automation opportunities.
• Provide engineering leadership for facilities and infrastructure, supporting capacity expansion, layout optimisation and compliance with safety/EHS standards.
• Offer senior technical support to resolve complex production issues and drive continuous improvement across lines.
• Build and develop a high‑performing manufacturing engineering team, fostering collaboration with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain and Operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading manufacturing engineering functions in high‑volume, safety‑critical electronics.
• Strong background in new product introduction, process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) and control‑plan development.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement automation solutions that improve quality and reduce manual effort.
• Experience managing facilities projects, capacity planning and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Leadership skills to develop teams and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
