Manufacturing Technician

About the role

Intel Ireland is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Technician to support high‑volume wafer production in a regulated semiconductor environment. The role operates on a rotating shift pattern and focuses on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Perform equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to meet safety, quality, output, and cost targets.
• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment and process issues, supporting defect reduction initiatives.
• Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings to execute tasks.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to improve equipment reliability.
• Support installation, repair, and performance improvement projects for manufacturing equipment.
• Contribute to a culture of inclusion, diversity, and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• NFQ Level 6 or 7 technical qualification, or recognised trade qualification in Electrical, Plumbing, or Instrumentation.
• Minimum 4 years experience in technical, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, biomedical, or medical device manufacturing.
• At least 4 years hands‑on preventative and corrective maintenance in a regulated environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
