Market Performance Specialist

About the role

As a (Junior) Market Performance Specialist you will help us understand and improve the experience of job seekers across Ireland and Belgium. Working at the intersection of Product, Marketing, Commercial, Pricing and Analytics, you will analyse candidate behaviour, marketplace performance and consumer trends to uncover insights that support growth and improve marketplace health.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor marketplace performance by tracking key KPIs such as candidate engagement, application activity, traffic, conversion and customer outcomes.
• Analyse candidate behaviour using marketplace and consumer data to identify patterns, trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Generate insights and recommendations, translating data into clear actions that optimise the marketplace and drive sustainable growth.
• Create regular performance reports and dashboards that provide visibility into trends and key metrics.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Commercial, Pricing and Analytics teams to understand marketplace dynamics and support cross‑functional initiatives.
• Support candidate growth initiatives by providing insights that improve acquisition, engagement and retention.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis to monitor external trends and identify new opportunities.
• Communicate performance drivers to stakeholders and measure the impact of improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• B2C or marketplace experience in e‑commerce, digital subscriptions, online platforms or similar environments.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and uncover meaningful business insights.
• Understanding of consumer behaviour and experience analysing candidate or user engagement data.
• Experience measuring performance metrics such as traffic, conversion, acquisition, retention and marketplace health.
• Commercial mindset to connect data insights with growth opportunities.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
• Structured problem‑solving approach to identify opportunities and address business challenges.

Required skills

• Marketplace expertise, including experience with job platforms, classifieds or two‑sided digital businesses.
• Exposure to growth and optimisation techniques such as experimentation and conversion optimisation.
• Knowledge of the customer lifecycle, covering acquisition, engagement, retention and value metrics.
• Experience with advanced analytics tools, BI platforms, AI‑powered analytics solutions or data visualisation.
• Understanding of marketplace economics, supply‑demand dynamics, liquidity metrics and user engagement analysis.
