Material Planner

About the role

The Material Planner will ensure that raw material and packaging orders are placed to meet production requirements and maintain optimal stock levels. Working closely with the Inbound Material Manager, Production Planner and the inbound warehouse team, you will help configure and run the SAP MRP system to schedule deliveries efficiently and safely.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain purchase orders to satisfy production needs while respecting MOQ/EOQ targets.
• Monitor stock levels, compare demand versus supply, and communicate any supply risks.
• Maintain planning parameters in the SAP MRP system and support monthly MRP submissions.
• Provide forecasts to suppliers and manage supplier relationships, KPIs, and contact information.
• Participate in sourcing projects and support the introduction of new suppliers or materials.
• Handle invoice queries and execute internal control tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food industry.
• Strong analytical and planning skills with the ability to work independently and act quickly.
• Excellent communication, flexibility, and a collaborative mindset across functions.
• Relevant third‑level qualification and proven problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of SAP (advantageous) and MRP concepts.
• Experience with integrated ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate) and other MS Office tools.
