Mechanical Project Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to support a major building services project in Carrick‑on‑Shannon. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a key part in delivering mechanical engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review technical submittals and respond to RFIs.
• Assist with procurement activities and support the selection of subcontractors.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities on‑site and ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Support commissioning, testing and handover procedures.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and update progress reports.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in building services, M&E or construction environments.
• Strong technical understanding and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Project.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications.
