About the role
Windmill Healthcare is seeking a reliable Multi‑Task Assistant to support both cleaning and kitchen operations at Killeline Care Centre in Newcastle West. You will help maintain a safe, hygienic environment for residents, staff and visitors while delivering high‑quality domestic services.
Key responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect all areas of the care centre, including bedrooms, bathrooms, living spaces, kitchens and waste disposal zones.
- Manage domestic and hazardous waste, ensuring bins are emptied, cleaned and stored hygienically.
- Handle resident laundry – sorting, washing, drying, ironing, folding and storage – and coordinate external laundry services when required.
- Prepare and serve meals and beverages, set up resident trays, and keep kitchen and dining areas tidy.
- Follow infection‑control policies, health‑and‑safety procedures and relevant regulations (HACCP, COSHH).
- Report any defects or safety concerns and maintain accurate records.

- Respectful and patient interaction with residents.
Required skills
- Knowledge of HACCP standards.
- Familiarity with COSHH regulations.
- Understanding of infection‑control procedures.
