About the role
The National Account Manager will lead the growth of the Food & Home portfolio across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will manage key customer accounts and brand partners, building long‑term relationships that drive sales and profitability.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and brand partners.
- Deliver sales targets, margin goals and agreed growth plans.
- Negotiate commercial terms and trading agreements in line with company strategy.
- Plan and execute promotions, product launches and marketing activities.
- Track brand partner investment, ensure transparency on spend and produce regular performance reports.
- Own forecasting and SKU‑level stock planning, reviewed monthly.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with supply chain, finance, marketing and category teams.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to support business planning.
- Resolve customer and commercial issues promptly and professionally.
- Represent the Food & Home portfolio at trade events and industry meetings.
- Lead, coach and develop direct reports.
Required profile
- Proven experience in account management or sales within the FMCG or grocery sector.
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation, communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to analyse complex sales data and market trends.
- Self‑motivated, results‑driven and able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Previous people‑management experience with a commitment to mentoring.
- Willingness to travel within Ireland, the UK and Central Europe for meetings.
Required skills
- Proficiency with CRM systems.
- Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite.
