National Account Manager – Ireland

About the role
Our client, a growing pharmaceutical company with a strong presence across Europe, is looking for a National Account Manager to lead and develop key commercial relationships across the Irish market.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and grow relationships with Irish wholesalers, buying groups, pharmacy chains, hospitals, and private healthcare providers.
- Identify new commercial opportunities and customers to drive product sales.
- Negotiate and manage commercial agreements in line with company strategy.
- Support new product launches, including forecasting, planning, and market insight preparation.
- Work closely with internal and regional teams on demand forecasting and supply chain continuity.
- Engage with logistics partners to ensure smooth product set‑up and ongoing supply.
- Support market access activities, including pricing submissions and interactions with key stakeholders (CPU, PCRS, IPU, wholesalers).
- Ensure full compliance with IPHA Code of Practice and all relevant regulations.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a commercial role within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong understanding of Irish wholesaler models, pricing structures, rebates, and deals.
- Experience across branded and/or generic pharmaceuticals.
- Commercially astute with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Confident relationship‑builder with excellent communication skills.
- Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a commercial leadership role.
- Degree‑level education (essential).
