Nurse - Stoma, Bladder and Bowel Community Services

About the role

Coloplast is recruiting a nurse for a 12-month fixed-term contract to help develop and deliver specialist Stoma, Bladder and Bowel services within the community, based in Limerick, Tipperary and Kerry. Full training and support is provided, so previous experience in these areas is an advantage but not required. The role suits someone living in or around Limerick.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver professional and ethical care to patients
• Support the patient pathway from hospital to home, including home visits and community-based clinics
• Carry out virtual consultations by telephone and video
• Plan, manage and organise caseloads and time
• Communicate with patients, carers and referring healthcare professionals and give feedback
• Maintain clinical records in line with company, legal and professional requirements
• Build collaborative working between stakeholders such as acute and community teams
• Provide educational support to other healthcare professionals and undertake service audit and evaluation

Required profile

• Registered General Nurse with at least 2 years post-registration
• BSc Nursing degree or working towards it
• Stoma care experience is desirable but not essential
• Teaching experience
• Full driving licence; a company car or car allowance is offered
