Occupational Health and Safety Internship

About the role

This 4‑month internship supports the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) team at Lilly’s Dunderrow site in Kinsale, Ireland. You will help maintain and improve workplace risk controls while gaining hands‑on experience in occupational health and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct periodic reviews and updates of general and chemical risk assessments, identifying gaps and recommending improvements.
• Support quantitative exposure monitoring, including data collection, analysis, and trend follow‑up.
• Deliver training sessions on manual handling techniques and respirator fit testing.
• Perform area audits to identify hazards, verify compliance, and track corrective actions.
• Assist with area clearance monitoring after containment breaches to ensure safe re‑entry.
• Contribute to HSE communications, safety campaigns, and employee wellness initiatives.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic about health and safety and motivated by purpose‑driven work.
• Able to work onsite full‑time for the 4‑month duration.
