Operations Manager (Legal)

About the role

We are seeking an Operations Manager with a legal/compliance background to support our growing client base across the EU. You will work remotely, providing regulatory guidance and ensuring smooth service delivery for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance to clients on their regulatory obligations (GDPR, Digital Services Act, etc.).
• Take new clients from enquiry through quoting to service commencement.
• Manage existing client appointments, including annual renewals.
• Review client‑provided documentation for errors or misunderstandings.
• Triage email inboxes, acknowledge and forward relevant communications to clients.
• Participate in daily video calls with the Managing Director (and later the junior team).
• Discuss client requirements via video calls.
• Chase clients for documentation and payment.
• Undertake ad‑hoc projects such as procurement of service providers and preparation of internal documentation.
• Assist with recruiting, training and supervising 1‑3 remote Operations Assistants.
• Manage the company during the Managing Director’s periods of leave.
• Represent the company at conferences and events as needed.

Required profile

• Legal or compliance background, ideally at senior paralegal or senior legal secretary level.
• Experience with GDPR, Digital Services Act and other compliance regulations.
• Proven experience managing a small remote team.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
• Highly motivated with strong attention to detail, writing and numeracy skills.
