Partner – Investment Funds & Financial Services Regulation

About the role

Our client, a leading Irish full‑service law firm, is seeking a senior Partner to lead and expand its Investment Funds & Financial Services Regulation practice. Based in Dublin, the role offers the autonomy to shape strategy, build new service lines and become a market leader in emerging areas such as ETFs and digital‑asset funds.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex fund structuring mandates across private equity, hedge funds, venture capital and real estate.
• Develop and manage strategic relationships with institutional and entrepreneurial investment managers.
• Advise on innovative fund structures, including ESG‑focused, fintech and digital‑asset vehicles.
• Oversee debt capital market transactions, including multi‑series secured notes and green bond programmes.
• Provide regulatory guidance and lead authorisation applications with the Central Bank of Ireland for AIFMs, fund administrators and MiFID firms.
• Drive business development, client pitches and thought‑leadership initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with 8‑10+ years post‑qualification experience in investment funds, financial services regulation or debt capital markets.
• Proven track record of managing high‑value transactions and regulatory mandates.
• Strong business development and client relationship management skills.
• Leadership ambition to build and own practice areas.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of MiFID II, AIFMD, UCITS and SFDR frameworks.
• Experience with fund formation, structuring and regulatory authorisations.
• Expertise in debt issuance programmes and innovative financing structures.
