Personal Lines Insurance Account Executive

About the role

Howden Ireland, based in Clondalkin, is hiring a Personal Lines Account Executive on a permanent basis for its Personal Lines book of business. Reporting to the Team Leader and head of existing business, the role focuses on managing policy renewals, retaining clients and securing new business when opportunities arise.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients and foster long-term loyalty
• Oversee renewals of personal lines policies, including reviewing terms, negotiating renewals and ensuring timely completion
• Evaluate clients' risk profiles and advise on suitable insurance products and coverage
• Address client inquiries and resolve issues promptly
• Meet New Business and Renewal targets
• Follow compliance and office procedures, including the New Business Development and Renewal Procedures document
• Keep up to date with market practice and product availability and give feedback to management on pricing, service levels and product development
• Work with other groups on training, product development and operational efficiency where needed, and attend client visits with management when required

Required profile

• Minimum of 1-3 years' experience in an insurance role
• APA Personal Lines qualification or Grandfathered status with proof of up-to-date CPD
• Proven track record managing a client portfolio, especially renewals and client inquiries
• Ability to build strong client relationships and retain clients

Required skills

• Excellent technical product knowledge of personal lines insurance
• Knowledge of the personal lines insurance market
• Proficiency in negotiating terms and conditions
