Polytunnel and Glasshouse Constructor

About the role

Polydome Ltd is seeking a full‑time Polytunnel and Glasshouse Constructor to join its Birr team. You will be responsible for assembling and installing a range of polytunnels and glasshouses for both domestic and commercial customers, working on‑site and ensuring each structure meets the required quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare installation sites, set foundations and construct frames according to technical specifications.
• Fit covering materials and complete the assembly of polytunnels and glasshouses.
• Read and interpret installation plans and technical drawings.
• Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate deliveries and installation schedules with colleagues.
• Provide occasional maintenance, repair work and on‑site customer support.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures, including working at height and site safety protocols.

Required profile

• Practical construction experience with a focus on assembly and installation.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform manual handling safely.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality workmanship.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Full, valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.
