Procurement Manager – Operations Leadership

About the role

As a key member of the Operations leadership team, you will develop and execute purchasing strategies that secure supply, optimise inventory investment and strengthen supplier partnerships to support continued growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop the Purchasing & Supply Chain team, fostering high performance and continuous improvement.
• Design and implement purchasing and supply‑chain strategies to ensure continuity of supply, optimise working capital and enhance customer service.
• Own demand‑planning and forecasting processes, collaborating with Sales and stakeholders across Ireland and the UK.
• Drive implementation and optimisation of the AGR demand‑planning and inventory‑management system.
• Develop and embed S&OP and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes to improve forecast accuracy and capacity utilisation.
• Manage all purchasing activities, including supplier scheduling, replenishment planning and inbound supply management.
• Build strategic supplier relationships, monitor performance against KPIs and identify opportunities for risk reduction and improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading procurement, purchasing or supply‑chain teams in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Strong track record of developing and executing supply‑chain strategies that balance cost, service and inventory.
• Demonstrated ability to own demand‑planning, forecasting and S&OP processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across sales, operations and finance.
• Results‑oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Experience with the AGR demand‑planning and inventory‑management system.
• Proficiency in advanced forecasting and inventory‑planning tools.

What we offer

• Starting salary up to €95,000
• €5,000 annual bonus
