Procurement Scientific & Technical Officer

About the role

We are looking for a Procurement Scientific & Technical Officer to support the digitisation and standardisation of procurement processes for a Galway‑based client. You will create user‑friendly guidance, enhance SharePoint resources and help improve procurement efficiency across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain procurement guidance, process maps, FAQs and training materials for SharePoint.
• Support the digitisation and standardisation of procurement documentation and processes.
• Organise and manage procurement content, document libraries and information architecture within SharePoint.
• Collaborate with Procurement, HR and key stakeholders to improve resources.
• Translate policies into practical guidance for staff and managers.
• Maintain up‑to‑date procurement content aligned with governance standards.
• Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and user experience.

Required profile

• Third‑level qualification in Business, Procurement, Information Management, Communications, Public Administration or related field.
• Experience developing and managing digital content in SharePoint, including document libraries and information architecture.
• Knowledge of public sector procurement processes, governance and compliance.
• Proven ability to deliver digitisation, content development or process improvement projects.
• Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
