Project Manager – Automation Equipment Delivery

About the role

We are looking for a driven Project Manager to own the delivery and implementation of bespoke automated equipment projects for AIR Sligo. You will act as the internal voice of the customer, coordinating cross‑functional teams to bring complex automation solutions to life while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of projects from kick‑off through to customer support of installed machines.
• Ensure User Requirement Specifications (URS) are met and documentation (quality, safety, end‑user) is delivered.
• Drive timelines, control scope, handle change requests and keep projects within budgeted resources.
• Facilitate technical and commercial communication among stakeholders and provide regular status updates.
• Coordinate design, controls, debug and workshop teams, develop schedules and resolve planning issues.
• Maintain structured issue management using standard project‑management tools and escalate problems when needed.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in a similar role delivering complex engineering projects.
• Self‑starter with strong attention to detail and a track record of ownership.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving ability and initiative in an engineering environment.
