Project Manager – Automation Solutions

About the role

We are looking for a driven Project Manager to own the delivery of bespoke automated equipment projects for AIR Sligo, part of the global AIR Group. You will act as the internal voice of the customer, coordinating cross‑functional teams to bring complex automation solutions from concept to commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of automation projects from kick‑off through to customer support.
• Ensure User Requirement Specifications (URS) are met and all documentation (quality, safety, end‑user) is delivered.
• Drive project timelines, budgets and resource allocations, resolving planning issues as they arise.
• Coordinate design, controls, debug and workshop teams, prioritising tasks and managing change requests.
• Maintain clear communication with customers and internal managers through regular project reviews.
• Escalate risks promptly to keep projects on schedule.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.
• Proven experience delivering complex engineering projects and taking full ownership of outcomes.
• Self‑starter with strong attention to detail in an engineering environment.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving ability and initiative.
