Project Manager – Construction (Clare/Limerick/Galway)

About the role

Join a leading Irish construction contractor as a Project Manager overseeing medium‑to‑large public and private projects across sectors such as education, health, residential, and commercial. You will be based on sites in Clare, Limerick or Galway and will work closely with a Contracts Manager or Director.

Key responsibilities

• Establish performance and delivery criteria to meet client requirements.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety, quality and other procedures.
• Maintain project information and controls, providing weekly updates to clients.
• Plan resources including labour, materials and subcontractors.
• Lead a large multidisciplinary team to meet deadlines and project goals.
• Monitor procurement, safety, costs and overall project progress.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in civil engineering or construction management (trade background also considered).
• 5+ years proven experience as a Project Manager with a medium or large main building contractor.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Experience on high‑quality public and private contracts across multiple sectors.
• Reporting line to a Contracts Manager or Director with supportive oversight.

Required skills

• BIM experience (advantageous).
• Tender submission experience (advantageous).
• Programming and method‑statement writing experience (beneficial).
