Project Manager – Construction (Galway)

About the role

JJ Rhatigan & Company, a leading Irish building contractor, is seeking a Project Manager to lead multi‑million‑euro projects in the Galway region. You will be responsible for delivering projects from pre‑start through handover while ensuring safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and monitor the entire project lifecycle using appropriate planning software.
• Manage health & safety compliance, BIM coordination, design approvals and technical submittals.
• Oversee procurement of subcontractors and materials, and maintain site logistics.
• Prepare and present weekly and monthly reports on progress, quality, safety and finance.
• Chair weekly site and QA meetings, record minutes and actions.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale construction projects, preferably in Ireland or the UK.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor a multidisciplinary team.
• Solid understanding of health & safety legislation and environmental standards.
• Ability to identify risks early and implement effective mitigation measures.

Required skills
