Project Manager – Electrification Services

About the role

ABB Ireland is looking for a Project Manager to lead the execution of medium-size electrification service projects. The role reports to the Service Project Management Manager and ensures that all activities follow procedures, regulations, standards, specifications and targets. It is a hybrid position based in the Dublin office.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams and contractors through the project lifecycle and close-out by defining and executing the project plan
• Monitor progress, resource use and project financials so delivery stays within budget and schedule
• Identify and manage project risks and pursue opportunities
• Maintain project documentation, method statements, risk assessments, drawings and the technical database, and prepare handover documentation
• Act as a contact point for customer inquiries and an escalation point for project issues
• Ensure compliance with HSE and quality standards and recommend process improvements

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of direct project management experience delivering medium voltage (MV) and/or low voltage (LV) products or projects in the electrification industry
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, MV/LV switchgear and power distribution systems
• Full Irish driving licence and right to work in Ireland
• Fluent English, written and spoken
