Property Lawyer (Commercial Real Estate)

About the role

The successful candidate will join William Fry’s award‑winning Property Department, working on a full range of commercial real estate matters for institutional investors, private equity funds, public authorities and major retailers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end commercial real estate transactions, including high‑value acquisitions, disposals and financings.
• Draft, review and negotiate complex contracts, leases and ancillary documentation.
• Advise clients on strategic property issues, regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.
• Lead due‑diligence processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain client relationships as a trusted advisor.
• Monitor market trends and legislative changes to provide proactive advice.
• Support business development through thought leadership, client pitches and networking events.
• Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of continuous learning.

Required profile

• 3–7 years post‑qualification experience as a solicitor.
• Strong academic background.
• Excellent technical and drafting abilities with a keen eye for detail.
• Commercially focused with strong organisational skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• High level of initiative while working effectively as part of a team.
