QA Officer – Quality Management (Acting)

About the role

SGS is seeking an experienced QA Officer to lead major projects within the International Services Laboratory (ISL) in Cork. As part of the central quality team, you will own and oversee specific ISL Quality Management Systems, acting as the subject‑matter expert to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the Quality Management System to meet cGMP regulations and the SGS Quality Manual.
• Plan, execute and follow‑up on internal and external quality audits, including self‑inspection programmes.
• Manage SOP lifecycle, approvals, rejections and contribute to global SOP development.
• Oversee equipment lifecycle, calibration schedules and vendor relationships to optimise spend and minimise downtime.
• Drive quality risk management, data integrity oversight and CSV document review.
• Prepare and review QA agreements with customers and third‑party service providers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in pharmaceutical or life‑science quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP regulations and quality system implementation.
• Ability to work independently while aligning with the QA team lead.
• Excellent analytical, communication and coaching skills.
