About the role
We are seeking a Quality Control (QC) Analyst to join a leading global pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Cork. The role is fully onsite and operates on a 4‑shift rotation to support 24/7 manufacturing activities in a highly regulated GMP environment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform primary review of QC raw data and trend analytical results.
- Evaluate analytical and microbiological test results against established specifications.
- Prepare protocols, technical reports, summaries, and regulatory documentation.
- Draft, review, and update QC Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct laboratory investigations and document findings through to completion.
- Act as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) and support the training of colleagues.
- Maintain laboratory compliance and audit readiness at all times.
- Support regulatory inspections and interact with inspectors during audits.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Facilities, and external partners.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, standard work practices, and 5S activities.
Required profile
- BSc in a Scientific or Engineering discipline with 5+ years of cGMP laboratory experience, OR MSc in a Scientific discipline with 3+ years of cGMP laboratory experience.
- Strong understanding of GMP regulations and laboratory compliance requirements.
- Experience reviewing analytical data and conducting laboratory investigations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a high‑performing team.
- Flexible, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement.
