QC Lab Technician – 12‑Month Contract

About the role

Join Johnson & Johnson's pharmaceutical laboratory in Little Island, Cork as a QC Lab Technician on a 12‑month contract. You will support day‑to‑day operations, enabling analysts to focus on testing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage sample login, receipt and disposal activities.
• Composite samples and prepare retain samples.
• Support laboratory waste management and glass wash processes.
• Handle laboratory orders, stock control, supplies and related records.
• Perform routine equipment calibrations and track maintenance schedules.
• Maintain archival systems, logbooks and laboratory documentation.
• Conduct 6S audit walks, uphold good housekeeping standards and maintain inspection readiness.
• Work in compliance with GMP and laboratory procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent in a scientific discipline.
• Understanding of GMP requirements in a regulated environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work accurately, reliably and with attention to detail.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations.
• Experience with routine equipment calibration and maintenance tracking.
• Proficiency in sample handling and laboratory documentation.
