Qualified Accountant – Financial Reporting & Tax

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Accountant to join a fast‑growing professional services firm. The role sits within the Financial Reporting and Tax Compliance team, serving a diverse portfolio of UK, Irish and international clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare statutory financial statements for individual and group entities.
• Prepare accounts working papers, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Prepare and submit UK and Irish corporate and personal tax returns.
• Process PAYE, payroll reporting, pensions and BIK compliance.
• Prepare and submit VAT, Intrastat and VIES returns.
• Review bookkeeping assignments and management accounts.
• Support compliance requirements including RCT/CIS reporting.
• Manage company secretarial compliance and filings.
• Liaise with banks, advisors, government bodies and regulators.
• Manage client relationships and service delivery.
• Monitor WIP and support billing processes.
• Assist with ad‑hoc projects and client assignments.
• Mentor and support junior team members.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA, CAI or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant accounting and tax experience.
• Strong knowledge of both UK and Irish tax environments.
• Experience preparing statutory accounts and tax returns.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proactive, commercially focused mindset.
