Quality Engineer – Manufacturing Support

About the role

The Quality Engineer 1 will provide quality support for Teleflex’s manufacturing value stream, ensuring that products meet customer and regulatory requirements throughout the product lifecycle. Working within cross‑functional project teams, the engineer will apply Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards and the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) to drive reliable, compliant production.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain QMS documentation for assigned projects, including specifications, inspection plans, and release procedures.
• Conduct complaint and non‑conformance investigations, determine root causes, and lead corrective and preventive actions.
• Support new product introduction (NPI), commercialization, sustaining, and end‑of‑life phases with quality input and release activities.
• Review and align customer specifications and drawings with Teleflex capabilities, ensuring acceptance criteria are clearly defined.
• Monitor process variation, drive reduction initiatives, and verify effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior quality team members.

Required profile

• Degree in engineering, life sciences, or a related technical field.
• Experience in a regulated medical device or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with sound judgment.
• Effective communication skills to interact with internal stakeholders and customers.

Required skills

• Knowledge of GMP and QMS principles.
• Familiarity with specification review, inspection, and testing processes.
• Ability to conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
