R&D Engineer II – Medical Devices (Spiddal, Galway)

About the role

Integer is seeking an R&D Engineer II to join its medical‑device engineering team in Spiddal, Galway. You will apply general engineering methods and tools while also exploring more advanced technologies to support product and process innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to develop and improve products and processes.
• Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS), FDA regulations, and company safety, environmental, security and quality policies.
• Conduct failure analysis on existing products, processes and materials and recommend improvements.
• Participate in moderate‑complexity projects, documenting and implementing new product and process technologies.
• Plan, schedule and execute engineering work within larger projects or lead smaller‑scope initiatives.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently with occasional guidance from senior engineers or managers.
• Familiarity with QMS, FDA regulatory requirements, and standard engineering documentation.
• Proactive attitude toward identifying technical challenges and proposing improvements.
