Customer Support Technician

About the role

As a Customer Support Technician you will work hands‑on in a clean‑room environment building and testing multimillion‑dollar display and wafer fabrication equipment. The role is based at the customer site in Leixlip, Co. Kildare and follows a rotating day‑and‑night shift pattern.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning daily work schedules, performing installations, preventive and remedial maintenance.
• Use escalation policies, verify operational quality, and conduct periodic quality checks.
• Instruct customers and trades personnel on installation, operation and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot process variations with senior engineers and ensure complete customer satisfaction.
• Perform start‑up, warranty, paid service and service contract activities, including TIER 0, I & II start‑ups.

Required profile

• Associate degree or technical certification with 1–2 years of field support experience.
• Willingness to read electrical and mechanical schematics and strong written/verbal communication.
• Physical ability to work in tight spaces, stand for long periods and use personal protective equipment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Basic mechanical aptitude in pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum or thermodynamics.
• Knowledge of hand tools and use of a digital multimeter.
