About the role
Children’s Health Ireland is seeking a Registrar in Plastic Surgery to commence in July 2026. This position offers the chance to work within Ireland’s leading specialist children’s hospital network, gaining experience across paediatric plastic surgery and related specialties.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality surgical care to paediatric patients under the supervision of senior consultants.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient management plans.
- Rotate through multiple specialties on 6‑ or 12‑month contracts to broaden clinical expertise.
- Engage in teaching, audit, and research activities as part of the training programme.
Required profile
- Minimum of 1 year experience in plastic surgery.
- At least 6 months experience working with paediatric patients or in a paediatric hospital setting.
- MRCS or an equivalent surgical qualification.
- Registered with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) and eligible to work in Ireland.
Required skills
- Proficiency in paediatric surgical techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
