Remote Pain Management Consultant (Ireland)

About the role

Montu UK is seeking experienced Pain Management Consultants to assess and manage patients who are exploring cannabis‑based medicines for chronic pain. The role is remote, supporting UK‑based patients, and offers the chance to shape emerging clinical practice in medical cannabis.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct initial and follow‑up consultations, assessing suitability for cannabis‑based medicines.
• Make clinical decisions on prescribing and oversee patient care pathways.
• Collect and contribute clinical outcome data to support evidence‑based practice.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings with nurses and pharmacists.
• Maintain compliance with clinical governance and patient safety standards.

Required profile

• Full, valid GMC registration.
• Completion of Specialist Training (CCST/CCT) or equivalent.
• Registered on the GMC Specialist Register for Pain.
• Demonstrated interest in alternative therapies and willingness to engage in data collection.
