Robotics Equipment Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Robotics Equipment Maintenance Technician will support Analog Devices' Class 10 & Class 100 cleanroom wafer fabrication facility in Limerick. You will ensure the reliability of fab tools and advanced robotic systems, contributing to the development of next‑generation semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned and unplanned repairs on wafer fab tools, troubleshooting down to the component level.
• Support tool development projects and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Interpret technical manuals, schematics and specifications to diagnose faults.
• Build, wire, install and maintain 6‑axis robots, autonomous mobile robots, automated transport and storage/retrieval systems.
• Develop and execute preventive‑maintenance schedules for robotic equipment.
• Program, calibrate and adjust robotic systems to optimise performance and accuracy.
• Conduct performance testing, document results and implement improvements.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs and configurations.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance while adhering to strict safety protocols.

Required profile

• Technical background in equipment maintenance, robotics or mechatronics.
• Ability to work in a Class 10/100 cleanroom environment.
• Willingness to collaborate with mentors and present findings to peers and management.
• Commitment to safety standards and continuous learning.
