Safety Consultant – Health & Safety Advisor

About the role

As a Safety Consultant for Holland Safety, you will advise a range of clients across Ireland and Northern Ireland on occupational health and safety matters. Based in Dublin, the role combines on‑site inspections, audit reporting and the development of tailored safety management systems to help organisations meet Irish legislation and ISO standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve Health & Safety Management Systems, including safety documentation, method statements and emergency response procedures.
• Carry out comprehensive safety audits, risk assessments and site inspections to verify compliance with legislation and client policies.
• Prepare detailed safety reports, gap analyses and actionable recommendations for clients.
• Provide on‑site safety management for projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain ISO‑related documentation to support internal and external compliance.
• Advise clients on regulatory changes, best practices and emerging safety trends.
• Liaise with external authorities and enforcement agencies when necessary.

Required profile

• Level 8 qualification in Health & Safety or an equivalent recognised credential.
• Additional health & safety certifications; Train‑the‑Trainer qualification and professional body membership are desirable.
• Full, clean driver’s licence with willingness to travel throughout Ireland and Northern Ireland.
• Proven experience delivering high‑quality safety consultancy services.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to produce clear client‑facing documentation.
