Sales Assistant & Driver – Retail Paint Store

About the role

Crown Paints is looking for a friendly, customer‑focused Sales Assistant to join its Letterkenny store team. Working part‑time (24 hours per week), you will help customers bring their painting projects to life while supporting store operations and local deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Provide excellent in‑store and phone customer service.
• Mix and tint paint to match customer specifications.
• Drive the store van to deliver stock to local customers and trade accounts.
• Process sales and handle POS transactions accurately.
• Assist with stock control, deliveries and maintaining store standards.
• Identify and develop new trade customers, opening new accounts.

Required profile

• Confident, approachable attitude when dealing with customers.
• Strong communication skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices.
• Willingness to perform manual handling (5‑10 kg) and stand for periods.

Required skills

• Operation of POS systems.
• Paint mixing and tinting.
• Driving a light commercial vehicle.
