Security Automation Engineer – Terraform, Vault, AWS & Azure

About the role

We are looking for a Security Automation Engineer to design and implement automation frameworks that embed security and compliance into platform provisioning, configuration, and operation across AWS, Azure and hybrid environments. The role sits within a Managed Services function that is transitioning from on‑premises to cloud and SaaS, offering a unique chance to shape security automation at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build Terraform modules and IaC pipelines that enforce security standards.
• Manage HashiCorp Vault for secrets management and policy enforcement.
• Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines and create automated remediation workflows.
• Standardise security patterns across customer estates and ensure continuous compliance.
• Collaborate with engineering and Managed Services teams to embed observability and security at the platform layer.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in security engineering, DevSecOps or security automation.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with Terraform and HashiCorp Vault.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and automate remediation.
