Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing financial consultancy. The role offers the chance to work with a diverse client portfolio while leading and developing a team of accounting professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review management accounts, including detailed variance and profitability analysis.
• Provide financial reporting, business insights, and performance‑improvement recommendations to clients.
• Support working capital management and cash‑flow optimisation.
• Evaluate and strengthen internal controls and financial processes.
• Deliver outsourced financial controller services to clients.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accountants and trainees.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills.
• Experience presenting financial information and advising business stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication abilities.
• Proven capability to manage, coach, and develop team members.
• Strong IT and systems competence.
• Experience in retail, FMCG, or multi‑site environments is advantageous but not essential.
