Senior Application Security Architect

About the role

Intapp is looking for a Senior Application Security Architect to lead security initiatives across its suite of interconnected SaaS products. The role serves as the security authority, defining standards and governance that enable secure interoperability while supporting the company’s growth in the professional services market.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and enforce secure design patterns, reference architectures, and integration standards for product interoperability.
• Perform threat modeling and security risk assessments during the design phase and drive remediation.
• Act as the security stakeholder for platform‑level integration initiatives such as shared identity services, API gateways, event buses, and data exchange layers.
• Coordinate security testing for platform components and cross‑product interactions.
• Contribute to application security standards, guidelines, and secure coding practices and ensure their adoption.
• Partner with legal and compliance teams to meet regulatory requirements (SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI‑DSS) without compromising interoperability.
• Escalate critical security risks with clear business context and recommended remediation paths.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in application security, software engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years in an architecture or senior individual‑contributor role.
• Proven ability to design secure integration and interoperability patterns for distributed systems.
• Strong experience with threat‑modeling methodologies (e.g., STRIDE, PASTA).
• Hands‑on experience with application security tooling such as SAST, DAST, SCA, container scanning, and secrets detection.
