Senior Cloud Engineer

About the role

Keeping production stable is rarely glamorous, but essential. As a Senior CloudOps Engineer you will run and improve the AWS infrastructure behind assessment products used by over 40 million learners worldwide. The role is based in Dublin with a hybrid schedule requiring three days per week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Build, maintain and enhance highly available AWS infrastructure supporting AI‑powered products at global scale.
• Optimize system performance, troubleshoot complex production issues and implement proactive monitoring.
• Automate infrastructure deployments and operational processes using modern tooling and engineering practices.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to support product delivery, platform reliability and continuous infrastructure improvements.

Required profile

• 5+ years managing large‑scale production systems, delivering improvements and platform enhancements.
• Strong experience with AWS, Linux and Docker.
• Solid understanding of cloud operations and infrastructure management.
• Proficiency in Python and scripting, with experience using GitHub Actions, Git and automation tooling.
• Experience supporting databases, monitoring platforms and large‑scale system migrations in production environments.
