Senior Legal Counsel – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term

About the role

Sky Ireland is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis. You will provide commercial, risk‑based advice on consumer, competition, telecoms, media and regulatory matters that affect Sky’s products and services, including Sky Mobile, TV, Broadband and NOW.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the senior legal contact for product, commercial, regulatory, finance, sales, marketing and operational teams.
• Advise on product and service propositions from concept through launch, covering customer journeys, communications, terms, pricing and operational processes.
• Provide legal guidance on consumer law, telecoms and media regulation, advertising rules, competition law and e‑commerce requirements.
• Support strategic growth initiatives across broadband, streaming, mobile and emerging services.
• Draft, review and negotiate consumer contracts, commercial agreements, supplier arrangements and internal policies.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies such as ComReg, CCPC, ASA, BEREC and the European Commission.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with several years of experience in Irish and EU consumer, competition, telecoms and media law.
• Proven ability to work autonomously, manage a high‑volume workload and deliver clear, pragmatic advice to senior stakeholders.
• Strong commercial awareness and excellent judgment in a fast‑moving media and telecommunications environment.
