Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Winthrop Technologies is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its Dublin team. The role is site‑based and focuses on delivering integrated mechanical solutions for data centre projects across Europe. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high‑quality, on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage client communications and attend client meetings.
• Lead a team of package managers and oversee technical submittals and RFI processes.
• Develop and review commissioning scripts for mechanical assets and systems.
• Coordinate work with mechanical, electrical and CSA contractors to ensure integrated services.
• Prepare method statements and risk assessments for construction activities.
• Sequence pipework installation with the project team to meet schedule.
• Assist in managing installation works, programme progression, commissioning and handover.
• Document and cost scope changes, prepare monthly valuations and final accounts.
• Drive O&M completion and gather documentation from vendors.

Required profile

• Proven experience on large‑scale construction projects (data centre, industrial, pharmaceutical or other mission‑critical environments).
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering or a related field.
• Excellent organisation, communication and time‑management abilities.
