Senior Project Manager – Construction

About the role

Bennett Construction Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead high‑density residential and commercial projects. Reporting directly to the Construction Director, you will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to top quality and safety standards.
• Act as the primary liaison between Bennett Construction and clients, providing regular updates.
• Instruct, coach, and direct project staff on construction, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring site personnel perform to the highest standards.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operational duties and continuously improve processes to reduce turnaround times.
• Develop and deliver progress reports, analyse results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
• Build and nurture business relationships to support project success.
• Capture lessons learned and contribute to staff development initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree qualification with a minimum of 10 years’ experience at Project Manager level.
• Proven track record delivering high‑density residential or commercial projects.
• Strong ability to analyse and interpret contractual documents.
• Commercial awareness with cost‑control expertise.
• Technical competence in setting and tracking project milestones.
• Extensive experience leading project teams and managing subcontractors.
• Excellent people‑management, oral and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Experience using MS Project or Powerproject for scheduling.
