Senior Project Manager

About the role

Our client, a leading financial services organisation, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex business change and transformation initiatives. The role combines project delivery expertise with strong business analysis capabilities to drive strategic programmes across multiple stakeholders and functions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of large‑scale business transformation programmes from initiation through implementation and transition into operations.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, dependencies and overall governance activities.
• Collaborate with business leaders, subject‑matter experts, technology teams and third‑party suppliers to ensure successful outcomes.
• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings and decision‑making sessions to drive progress and alignment.
• Gather, analyse and document business requirements, user stories, process flows and functional specifications.
• Coordinate testing activities, including user acceptance testing, defect management and business sign‑off processes.
• Provide regular reporting and updates to programme sponsors and senior leadership.
• Support organisational change activities such as communications, training, stakeholder engagement and adoption planning.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies across business functions.
• Maintain high‑quality project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years’ experience delivering large‑scale business transformation, change or technology projects.
• Proven experience managing complex programmes involving multiple stakeholders, workstreams and external vendors.
• Strong business analysis experience including requirements gathering, process mapping, documentation and stakeholder workshops.
• Demonstrated ability to manage project risks, dependencies, governance and reporting structures.
• Experience working across Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all organisational levels.
• Experience coordinating testing activities and supporting successful solution deployment.
• Outstanding communication, presentation and facilitation abilities.
• Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
