Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Our client, a financial services company, is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to lead complex technical initiatives and deliver scalable, secure, high‑quality software solutions. You will work across backend, frontend, and cloud environments while influencing architecture and engineering standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver complex software solutions spanning backend, frontend, and cloud‑based systems.
• Drive architectural improvements for scalability, resilience, and performance.
• Investigate critical incidents, lead root‑cause analysis, and implement preventative measures.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve challenging technical issues.
• Mentor engineers on coding standards, problem‑solving, and professional development.
• Participate in technical design reviews and guide long‑term engineering decisions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and tools to enhance delivery efficiency.
• Partner with product, design, QA, and operations to ensure end‑to‑end feature delivery.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 + years of software engineering experience, including senior or lead roles.
• Strong backend development expertise with Python and frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Proven experience building APIs, data models, and scalable distributed systems.
• Frontend development experience using React and TypeScript.
• Experience designing and deploying cloud‑native or serverless applications on AWS.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern cloud infrastructure.
• Demonstrated ability to design secure, maintainable, high‑performance architectures.
• Track record of leading technical initiatives and delivering cross‑functional outcomes.
