Senior Software Engineer – POS Team (Remote, Europe)

About the role

Cloudbeds is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its Point‑of‑Sale (POS) team. You will work remotely from anywhere in Europe, shaping the next generation of the company’s hospitality POS platform that powers thousands of properties worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy and operate the POS mobile app (React Native & Expo) and its Python/FastAPI backend.
• Develop offline‑first capabilities using SQLite, write‑ahead logging, synchronization, retry and conflict‑handling patterns.
• Create and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform, and manage Kubernetes deployments via Argo CD and Helm.
• Design reliable APIs, data models, caching and recovery paths using PostgreSQL, Valkey and REST.
• Ensure high availability, observability and performance of the end‑to‑end POS experience.

Required profile

• Proven experience building customer‑facing POS or similar real‑time applications.
• Strong focus on usability, reliability and offline operation.
• Hands‑on expertise with React Native, Expo and TypeScript for mobile development.
• Solid background in Python and FastAPI for backend services.
• Experience with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Argo CD and Helm.
