Senior Structural Engineer – Limerick, Ireland

About the role

An established engineering consultancy in Limerick is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join its growing team. The role involves client‑facing responsibilities and delivering high‑quality engineering solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects. Candidates must be personable, well‑spoken and able to build strong relationships with clients, consultants and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage structural engineering design teams on projects in Ireland and internationally.
• Produce and review structural calculations, reports, specifications, tender documents and construction drawings.
• Design solutions for residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, industrial and mixed‑use developments.
• Liaise directly with clients, architects, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Required profile

• Senior‑level structural engineer with several years of relevant experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude, proactive problem‑solving and ability to work independently.
• Willingness to start remotely while a Critical Skills Work Permit is processed, then relocate permanently to Limerick.

Required skills
